Soon this will be in English and taking over America.
All is quiet before the storm. While a slew of excellent games are coming out such as Halo Reach, Dead Rising 2, Pokemon Black and White (well in Japan), Assassins Creed Brotherhood, and a slew of other games being released this year; the video game news world is slowly turning besides PAX and Duke Nukem Forever. So as a result I looked around to see what else besides frontline games are coming out and reveal what might have slipped by other people.

Andre Vrignaud
This led me to an article about how recently Microsoft director of game platform strategy Andre "Ozymandias" Vrignaud is switching ships and going to Amazon of all companies. AMAZON!?! Like that place that soccer moms shop off of? Well according to Vrignaud in his blog post:

"Well, I guess I’ll just cut to the chase and say that I’m moving on from Microsoft to take a new role at Amazon. Can’t really talk about details at this point, but it’ll become pretty evident soon enough… and you all know where my passions lie."

Well his passion is obviously video gaming, which makes me wonder what the hell is Amazon planning? However for now his lips are sealed, but time will tell what his goals are.

For those unfamiliar with Vrignaud, he helped build Xbox Live from the tiny nothingness that many other companies thought would be a complete fail to the massive juggernaut with over 25 million users.

You know...Zune? That thing that nobody buys cause normal people get iPods.
In addition, long ago...well May of this year...Microsoft lost Robbie Bach and James Allard. Bach being the President of Entertainment and Devices Division for 22 years has stepped down in order to help more with the Boy's and Girl's club and to spend more time with his family. Essentially the President of Entertainment and Devices Division is the master of "fun" electronics at Microsoft, being the Xbox, Xbox 360, Zune, etc. J Allard was right under him as the "Chief Experience Officer" and the Chief Technology Officer for the Entertainment and Devices Division.

The loss of these 2 in addition to the new loss of Vrignaud will be a hard blow for Microsoft. While I'm sure Microsoft will be able to find competent people to replace them, it still must be hard to lose the founders of Xbox and Xbox Live.

  2. The only reason Zune never got successful in my opinion is that it cannot work on Macs.

  3. Andre Vrignaud looks so faggy in that picture.

  4. I'm sure people can be replaced quickly in Microsoft Staff. That's the big problem with huge companies is that nobody really has any tenure regarding their Job position because if you can do it good, someone else out there can do it better.

  • COD: Multiplayer Trailer

I'll admit, I haven't been too excited for Call of Duty: Black Ops. The only thing that has really interested me so far has been the single player, because the Call of Duty campaigns have always been great at delivering an action-packed, intense single player experience. Check it out!
