Video Game Henchmen was launched back in the 1800s, in the year 2010 to be exact or to even be more exact May 24, 2010. |
"We could just steal money from the bank, but we're not that kind of Henchmens" |
Xbox 360 Slim weren’t even invented when VGH launched. So, technically VGH is older than Xbox 360 Slim, but we’ve yet to have the fiscal success Microsoft has had. And, you know, we’re not bitter about it. We built Video Game Henchmen out of nothing but sweat, .NET code, moaning, SQL Server databases, arguments, HTML, Java Script, C++ and more love than the crowd showed Sesame Street Live: 123 Imagine at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center last night.
VGH has grown enormously over the few months. The biggest spurt happened just in the month of June. With that growth has come a series of challenges that VGH has risen to meet. Mostly we rise in the late afternoon, so the challenges have gained a strong foothold by the time we tackle them, but tackle them we do. We’ve catered to you, our ever increasing audience – who we value more than you realize – and at the same time we’ve introduced new features to further our audience's enjoyment. Think of the mind-bogglingly awesome Video Game Henchmen's Gaming Headlines and the Henchman Cast for starters.
All of this has been done because we had a passion for producing the best videogame website and community that we could. We think we’ve done an "alright" job.

We will try a number of methods of providing you with the opportunity to help us. That’s why you’ll see a few adverts around the site in the near future. We also listen to our community and many of you expressed a desire for VGH to go to E3 2011. This thought was only a wet dream for us youngsters, but with your help you could make it a reality. We could also use a brand spankin' new server to meet the needs of you guys, so with your donations we would be able to afford it as well as a good forum domain reducing the chances of it ever going down to 0%.
So, after listening to you we’re finally able to offer the donation service. You’ll notice a “Feeling Generous?” section on the left-hand side, with a lovely Stormtrooper “Donate” button. Click the button, fill in the details, and VGH’s cookie jar need never go empty again. The donations are handled via Paypal, so it’s all secure and safe and no hoodlums will try to rape your bank account. If you want to show your appreciation and help VGH to continue and get even better then please donate. And if you don’t want to donate or you can’t afford to, then don’t worry about it one bit.
We love you all whether you donate or not.
In advance:
Thanks everybody that has donated and everybody that does so in the future.
We really appreciate it and every donation is helping VGH continue on its journey of providing you with the best videogame website and community we possibly can.

Nice idea, i’ll be happy to give something back for all the great work you guys do!
When I win the Lotto (which I will) I will donate $1.20. That’s enough for a PACK OF COOKIES. Oh yeah. You want it.
Sending $25 your way when I get paid next month, VGH has been a pretty big part of my life since when I joined in May, and I’d like to show my appreciation for being such a good, unbiased, and amazing community.
